The complications in studying the progression and formation of cancer is the lack of preclinical models. This approach made it hard for researchers to execute experiments on patients. And this disrupts the understanding and identification of key molecular, cellular and biophysical features of human cancer. With the development in the microfluidic cell culture method which led to the generation of organs-on-chips that are now being used to model cancer cell behavior within the microenvironment. Organ on chips gives us the scope to study the comparative behavior of cells on the basis of cellular biophysics and mechanobiology in a controlled condition.
