I am a PhD student and working in the area of Biomedical engineering. My project involves creating a powerful 3D microfluidic tool the Vagina-on-a-Chip which involves multidisciplinary research that will mimic the mechanical, biochemical and physical aspects of the vagina in order to examine vaginal cells and bacteria associated with bacterial vaginosis in a single system to improve female healthcare.
