Design of 3D in vitro systems replicating biophysical and biochemical properties of tissue extracellular matrix. Current research projects focus on: design of biomaterials with controlled stiffness and composition to study cell-material interaction, 3D systems for cell culture, use of microfluidic system to study the effect of shear stress and interconnect distinctive tissue models.
Bioengineered models designed to studio biological processes, as well as drug screening and efficacy studies towards personalised medicine.
